The National Alternative Employment and Livelihood Program (NAELP) Coordinator, Dr Louise Carol Serwaa Donkor has joined the New Apostolic Church at Tafo in the Old Tafo Municipality of the Ashanti region to observe the 9 Lessons & Carols night festival as the church presented its 2023 edition on Saturday ahead of the 25th Christmas eve.
Reading the 4th lesson which was dubbed ” the Peace that Christ will bring is foreshown” in Micah chapter 5 verses 2 to 4, the Old Tafo constituency NPP, Parliamentary Aspirant quoted the scriptures “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”
She explained that the scripture is a clear and specific promise that symbolises God’s intention to shepherd His people that a ruler would come forth from old, from ancient days, not just any ruler but a ruler who would come and has existed long before pointed that the ruler (King) is Jesus Christ.
Among the dignitaries who cheered and graced the colorful event were the Omanhemaa of Amanten Traditional Area, Nana Serwaa Bonse Brakatu II, Very Rev. Eric Boakye Yiadom the Supt. Minister of Wesley Methodist Church Old Tafo, and the Aspiring Member of Parliament for NPP Old Tafo constituency, a Deputy CEO of Minerals Commission and NAELP Coordinator, Dr. Serwaa Donkor.
Others were Rev. Canon Samuel Kojo Nyame Anglican Father at St. Paul’s Anglican Church North Suntreso, Mr. Samuel Kwaku Doffour (Businessman-Men’s Fellowship Rep., Hon. Lord Inusah Lansah Municipal Chief Executive Old Tafo, the Old Tafo Circuit Court Judge, His Honor Festus Fovi Nokunu and lastly was the Oman Hene of Amanten Traditional area
Osabarima Appau Bonsie Bonsu who was the special guest of Honour.
