The minister of food and agriculture, Hon. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, on his a day working visit to western north region has said that some African countries now depend on Ghana for food.
Speaking in Western North Region, Hon. Dr Afriyie Akoto mentioned Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Mali, Togo etc are Africa Countries that come to Ghana for food since food is in abundant in Ghana here.
He further said, the NPP government, under the leadership of H.E Nana Akuffo Addo since they came into power has constructed 80 warehouses and 6 are currently in the Western North Region.
The Agric Sector Minister added that, the government is also renovating those delapidated warehouses into good states to help save food for future as a lot, people are showing interest in the agricultural sector.
