Awutu Senya: veteran hunter accidentally shots himself dead.

Isaac Bentum, 45, a hunter, has accidently shot himself to death after returning from his hunting business this morning at Bonsuoku, a community near Senya Beraku in the Central Region’s Awutu Senya West District.

The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Friday, has shocked the entire community because the deceased is known to be a brave hunter.

The deceased, who was an experienced hunter, met his untimely death when his gun triggered after returning home from his hunting expedition.

Reporting the incident to Odiasesempa Kofi Boadi on the ASEM BEBA DABI Social morning show on Friday, a local journalist said the police were called upon to the scene when the incident happened.

According to the journalist, the deceased’s body has since been conveyed and deposited at the mortuary for an autopsy.

The main business of the community is haunting expeditions. Hunting is done by nearly 90% of the men in the community.
