“Allow Prisoners To Enjoy Sex With Their Spouses On Visits” Edubiase Hemaa Advocates

As part of the ten years Anniversary Celebration of Nana Akua Dwum ll, Queen Mother of Edubiase Traditional Council in the Ashanti region has supported two institutions, namely Obuasi Local prisons,and Obuasi children’s home with items including; 40 bags of rice, 8 gallons of cooking oil, soft drinks, bottles of water and many more.

Speaking to the Media after the presentation, Nana Akua Dwum ll disclosed that sex plays a vital role in the social life of human.
Good sex life is believed to bring to the individual some benefits such as; lowers blood pressure, reduce prostate cancer, enhance mood,stimulates libido, enhance immune function and improve general fitness.

She called on Government as matter of urgency to make provision of facilities to promote conjugal visits in the Nation prisons.

“Some prisoners, in their quest to satisfy their sexual cravings, resort to same-sex relationships” Nana Added.

Receiving the items on behalf of the in-mates, Chief Supt. Diabor Adam Mahama , The first in Command of the Obuasi prisons , thanked Nana Hemaa for her benevolence insisting that the food items will supplement what they have in stock.

Obuasi Local Prison is currently hosting 273 in-mates .
He promised that the Obuasi Prison is committed in fulfilling their mandate of keeping in-mates in safe custody, upholding their welfare and reforming and rehabilitating them to be acceptable in the society.
