A/R: Kumasi Rotary Club cuts sod for construction of 29 boreholes, 152 microflush toilet for 4 MMDAs, Bantama Adventist SHS.

The Kumasi Rotary Club as part of the humanitarian project has cut sod to commence 29 boreholes and 152 household microflush toilet projects to some selected communities including Bantama Adventist Senior High School in the Kumasi Metropolis.

The project being supported with funding from the Rotary foundation through Rotarian in canada, USA, India and Ghana.

The selected Communities to benefit from the 29 boleholes and 152 households microflush toilets are from and within Old Tafo-Pankrono Municipality, Atwima-Nwabiagya North Municipality and Kumasi Metropolis.

Mr Emmanuel Obeng, the President of the Rotary Club in Kumasi assured that the potable water when finish will serve over thousands of students populace in the school and the beneficiary communities.

Mr Emmanuel Obeng who doubles the CEO of Trinity Hospital also said the gesture falls part of their social intervention to meet the needs of people and expects managers of the school to cultivate the habit of maintenance for longivity.

The headmistress of Bantama Adventist Senior High School, Mrs Grace Kafui Aryea expressed her gratitude to the Executives of the Kumasi Rotary Club for the gesture.

She was greatful for the timely intervention by the Rotary Club and said it has come at the right time as shortage of water has been their major challenge in the school, “students cross the scary highway to fetch water, which poses their lives in danger” She added.
