SUICIDE IS NOT AN OPTION TO AVERT PROBLEMS IN LIFE- GHANAIANS ADVISED

The mental health officer at the Jaman North District health directorate Dr Menson Kwabena Peter Has advised Ghanaians not to commit suicide as a result of problems being encountered in the journey of life.

Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Mensah Abrampa on program dubbed You and Your Health on Gye Nyame FM, He stated that, all persons have unique purpose in the journey of life hence there is no need to depend on the current hardship situation to commit suicide or any other thing that will cause your life.

He stressed that, there must be greatest development of self esteem because devaluing yourself always results to depression which sometimes brings about suicide.

Dr Peter Menson finally admonished that, death is not the ultimate solution to hardship and problems in life because killing yourself as a result of problems will add more of the problems to the rest of the family.

He finally tasks all to report anyone to the nearest mental health center in case of depression suspicion.
