Security: Shortage Of Police Personnels hit Assin South ~ Dce

Security is very essential in every human beings’ life and according to Abraham Maslow’s theory of needs it the second most pressing need among the five needs.

Due to this, the District Chief Executive for Assin South District of the Central Region, Hon. Felicia Ntrakwah Amissah has expressed her worry about the some uncommissioned Police Stations (ie Okyiso Police Station) in the District.

Speaking in an interview with Bohyeba fm, Kofi Tutu, she disclosed that, some Police Stations that have not been commissioned is because of the shortage or inadequate Police Personnels in the district.

Explaining further, she expressed how sorry she feels for the Police Personnels with the District and revealed how the commander himself sometimes goes to work both days and nights to help beef up security within the district and it’s a threat to their health. She bemoaned.

Hon. Felicia stated that, in order to improve the security within the District, she has sent a letter to the office of the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare herself and was given the best of assurance that, after successful passed out of the recruiter, more personnels will be posted to the district. She disclosed.
