Quick Corruption Is What We Usually Ignore, But it Is One That Imperil The System The Most… Vice President

Vice president Dr Mamoud Bawima has stated that the quick corruption Is what we usually Ignore, but it Is the one that Imperil the system the most.

He said, we have all lived through systemic corruption at places such as, the ports, DVLA, passport office, birth and deaths, insurance companies and so on, saying “this systemic corruption results in a major loss of revenue and resources to government.

He mentioned the digitisation project is a light on darkness of malpractice, bribery and corruption and that government is building a system that amongst others will promote transparency and accountability, discipline and trustworthiness.

Vice president disclosed this at the launch of Ghana travel card as part of the 2022 annual conference of the controller and accountant general’s department in cape coast.

Head of controller and accountant general’s department Mr Kwesi Kwaning Bosompem said controller and accountant general’s department is mandated to protect the public funds and that the Ghana travel card has come at the right time.
