I woke up around 1:40 am and saw that it is raining, it is 5:14 am, and it is still raining…I am beginning to think that it is raining all over the world today..

If I was the president of Ghana, i will by now have ready our polluted water bodies, by dreging all the sand and mud from them, so that these heavy rains will not only flash the polluted water bodies but also replenish them….

Again by now all illegally dug pits should have be covered and all destroyed lands reclaimed, so that I can declare all the Galamsey ravaged lands state of emergency, and whiles the rains are pouring like this, I will order that non edible trees like Teak, Rubber Trees etc be planted. Two things will the benefits, the trees will suck the mercury and other chemicals that the illegal miners used to pollute the land, and when harvesting arrives, those trees will bring in money, particularly Foreign exchange!

After each harvest, the content of the soil will be checked by the CSIR and other state Owned research institutions to check if the land can now produce edible foods, if not the cycle of planting the trees again will continue with application of local manures to continue in the quest to detoxify our lands until they regain their original purity…

And guess who will embark on these tree planting? Everyone who has been arrested for indulging Galamsey, petty thieves and pickpockets and prisoners who committed petty crimes will be settled in a state sponsored habitats to not plant but be responsible for the trees.

Three things will be gained here, affordable labor, creation of employment and a second chance to able bodies who are crowded in our prisons and are wasting away…

But of course I am only an Unrepentant Nkrumaist who has been consumed by the ideology of scientific socialist who sees Opportunities for the state in every corner sitting on the bench because the Ghanaian has been experimenting political power with NPP and the NDC…
