NPP Gov’t Still Upholds The Principle Of Ensuring Quality Education For All ~ Old Tafo-Pankrono Lawmaker, Cuts Sod To Commence A Construction Of KG Block.
The Member of Parliarment for Old Tafo-Pankrono Constituency in the Ashanti region, Hon Vincent Ekow Assafuah has cut sod for a construction of 6-storey classroom blocks with ancillary facilities for Pankrono M/A kindergarten basic school.
The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) approved project has been awarded to K. A. Northwest Company Limited and it is expected to be completed within the year 2022.
Addressing the participants at a durbar in the school premises on Tuesday March 1, 2022, the Tafo-Pankrono Legislator explained the government of his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is a poised believer of quality education for all Ghanaians regardless of whatever they are or their social background.
He added that, the incumbent government has expressed its interest in the future of Ghana by investing reasonably in the educational sector with transforming the lives, policies and initiatives such as the free senior high school education which has been a source of hope to the financially deprived citizenry who could not maybe afford secondary education for their wards after basic education.
Hon Vincent Ekow Assafuah urged the contractor working on the projects to do quality work and also strive to complete them within the scheduled period.
The sod-cutting ceremony was graced by the Otumfour Brempong, Nana Kwadwo Arhin II, the Old Tafo-Pankrono Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Lord Inusah Lansah the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Ntosuo and his staffs, the Municipal Education Director, Staffs of Pankrono M/A basic school and Pankrono town folks.
Commending the Member of Parliarment for the gesture in a welcome address, the Otumfour Brempong, Nana Kwadwo Arhin II appealed to Hon Vincent Ekow Assafuah to help construct a culvert to fix a deadly drainage challenge in the school.
Nana Kwadwo Arhin II who doubles the Chief of Pankrono-Atafoa traditional area further solicited from the government officials for street lights at the darkened areas to reduce the rampant robberies in the community.
He urged the contractors working on the projects to recruit their workers from the area as means of providing employment for the youth in the area.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Lord Inusah Lansah, commended the MP for the project he had initiated in the municipality including the police station in the same Pankrono community.
He advised the beneficiary community and institution to give the contractors working on the projects the needed support and cooperation to facilitate their early completion.
The Municipal Education Director, Mrs. Betty Durah expressed her outfits appreciation to the MP for his continuous vision of expanding the infrastructure base of many schools in the municipality.
The Headmistress of the Pankrono M/A basic school, Mrs. Asare also thanked the law maker for the projects but appealed for further support.
The deputy Contractor of the K. A. Northwest Company Limited, Mr Ofosuhene assured the people, beneficiaries with the best and speed of work.
