Old Tafo-Pankrono Municipal health Directorate in the Ashanti Region has schooled Frontline Health Workers, Assembly and Unit Committee Members as well as Media and Organizational Leaders in the Municipality on effective communication and vaccine hesitancy at the Municipal Health Directorate, Pankrono.

The one day workshop and training was centred on immunization, interpersonal communication and conspiracies associated with the covid vaccine.

Addressing the participants, the Old Tafo-Pankrono Municipal Director of Health Services, Madam Faustina Osei Mensah complained lack of proper interpersonal communication, political influence, some cultural and religious beliefs as well as trust in Leaders have been a major contributing factor to the vaccine hesitancy.

She urged the participants to use the knowledge acquired to educate their people, followers and members the need to be jabbed and also to eschew the conspiracies surrounding the covid-19 and the vaccination.
