The Ashanti Regional Deputy Nasara Coordinator, Alhaji Hamisu Ibrahim has advised the party hierarchy and supporters to always enforce the Constitution of the party in every elections they conduct to devoid chaos and attacks, hence giving them the assurance of breaking the “8” years cycle jinx in Ghana’s democracy.

Alhaji Hamisu Ibrahim was appointed by the Ashanti regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party to chair the just ended polling station Executives and Electoral area Coordinators’ Elections Committee in old Tafo Constituency.

Outdooring and swearing in of over 700 newly elected Polling station Executives and Electoral area Coordinators after a successful elections, Alhaji Hamisu Ibrahim who doubles the Chairman for the Elections Committee entreated the sworn in executives to be ambassadors to the party and proclaim the goodness of the Npp government.

The Npp fraternity in Old Tafo-Pankrono constituency in the Ashanti region has reiterated their commitment to help the government headed by President Akufo-Addo to accomplish all his promises made to Ghanaians.

According to them it is incumbent on them to ensure that this becomes a success if members are poised to working hard for Ghanaians to renew the mandate of the NPP government for another term in the next 2024 elections elections.

The Party Constituency Chairman, Hon Moses K. Donkor aka “veteran politician” charged the members to bury their differences and stick to their agenda.

He said that, all their efforts and resources would be a nonentity if their ultimate goal of breaking the ”8″ proved futile, therefore asked them to cease fire of fashions and unite as one.

However warning of factors that could obstruct the target of the party, the Veteran Politician mentioned that how the party handles its internal wrangling will determine the success or otherwise of the objective.

A political marketing strategist with university of ghana school of business, Dr Kobby Mensah has stated Two main factors that can make or unmake the Npp’s realization of breaking the eight years dream. First is the caliber of a candidate selected as flag bearer for the party. The second is how the leadership and elders guard against acts and tendencies that deepen the already polarized party.

According to her it is evidenced by the many party activists who yearning to contest the various polling station executive positions countrywide.

“However, position of a political party to win its ultimate objective of securing political power is how it handles such acts that create disunity, therefore called on the new polling station executives work hard and refrain from personal hatred so as to canvas many people into the party.

The NPP recently released its timetable for the election of its local, regional and national executives across the country.

The nominations for the polling station executives’ elections started on February 19, 2022, and ended on February 29, 2022.

Vetting of prospective aspirants started on February 22, 2022, and ended on February 24, 2022, while the conduct of the election was held between February 25, 2022, and March 5, 2022.
