Old Tafo Municipal Assembly pledged to support Students, refurbished OKESS School as soon as possible after fire outbreak.
Old Tafo Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region has assured Management, Staff and Students in the Osei Kyeretwie Senior High, School OKESS, that with as a matter of urgency, the Assembly will refurbish their dormitory and also provide necessary support for students who were affected in the Tuesday fire outbreak at the school.
Some part of OKESS Dormitories was on ablaze on Tuesday after the Students have left for Prep. The cause of the flamming is not known but report says God grace no casualty was recorded but all the stuffs of the Students including, learning materials and Money were all razed to ashes after fire service was able to control the out break.
After accessing the situation, the Municipal Chief Executive for Old Tafo, Hon Fred Obeng Owusu who led the delegation pledged full support of the Assembly to resource the victims and will also edify the scorched dormitory as soon as possible.
The Chief Executive declared that majority of the facilities in the major second cycle institution in the Municipality were all provided and constructed by the New Patriotic Party NPP government, therefore he will make every possible means to restore the glory of OKESS.
The Head Master of OKESS, Michael Mensah recounting the ordeal and trauma the entire people in the School have been, called on Old Students, Corporate Institution and Individuals to come to their aid especially at this later part as some of the students are preparing for their final exams.
Among the entourage were Old Tafo Npp Constituency Executives and some Opinion Leaders in the Municipality.
The Acting Chair Person for the New Patriotic Party NPP, in Old Tafo Constituency, Hon. Nana Afia Konadu after consoling the Students used the Opportunity to debunk rumors going viral by the National Democratic Congress that Npp Government will soon halt the Free Senior High School Education due to lack of Funds.
She entreated the general public to support the Npp break Eight (8) years agenda since the opposition NDCs are the brainwashers who are set to abrogate every Npp flagship programs including the FSHS as they cancelled the Teacher’s, Nurse’s allowances and Health Insurance Schemes.
