Inadequate facilities at Nkaseim health centre affects quality healthcare.
The DCE for Asutifi South in Ahafo Region, Robert Dwomoh Mensah has indicated that residents of Nkaseim and its environs are unable to access quality healthcare because of lack of facilities at the Nkaseim Health Centre and has therefore cut sod for the construction of 30 bed capacity ward.
Addressing the media at a brief sod cutting ceremony attended by Chiefs, Ahafo Minister, Health Workers, Residents among others for work to start, the Asutifi South DCE explained that it’s pathetic to see how residents of Nkaseim and its environs struggle to access the best of healthcare due to absence of facilities.
According to him, the 30 bed capacity ward to accommodate both males and females will curb the stress residents go through by constantly rushing them to either Hwidiem or Goaso over minor treatments as a result of the Health Centre not having structures.
Nkaseim Chief, Nana Danso Agyei Ababio (II) in behalf of residents applauded the Ahafo Minister and Asutifi South DCE for adhering to their call to help address the challenges residents endure.
