Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Health DIRECTORATES Record One Case OF MONKEY POX
The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Health Directorate in the western North Region has hold stakeholders meeting to discuss on the record of one monkey pox case.
In an interview with the Municipal Disease Control officer,Mr.Abraham Koyaara,he revealed that Ghana has recorded 104 cases of monkey pox with 4 dead of which 14 regions out of the 16 regions have one case each and Sefwi Wiawso Municipal is part which the patient has recover.
Mr.Koyaara Abraham disclosed that,they have tested two peoples out of the peoples the patient came in contact with and they all tested negative but investigation is still going on to test the rest.
Mr.Koyaara Abraham urged the public to visit the hospital immediately when they see some rashes on their skin and experiencing severe headache and also try as much as possible to practice the safety precautions.
