Speaking in a recent press conference, the majority leader took the privilege to express his immense disappointment in the Speaker of parliament over the delay in the passing of the 2022 budget aside revealing unexpected secrets about Alban Bagbin.
According to the majority leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, the speaker of parliament, Alban Bagbin has been intentionally delaying the passing of the most anticipated 2022 budget containing the E-levy because he wants the finance minister to hand over Ghs 1.72 billion to him before the same budget will be implemented in parliament.
“He is saying that, he has information that the total revenue of this country was going to be Ghs 89 billion and that the finance minister should give him 2% of it; and that is Ghs 1.72 billion. If he [Finance Minister] doesn’t give parliament Ghs 1.72 billion, then his budget is going to be rejected”, Majority leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu emphatically stated.
