Ghana Revenue Authority Must Capture People’s Assets As Part Of Tax Filing.

We have all urged the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) to explore innovative approaches to collecting revenues for the state. It was in the right direction the theme “Filing Tax Returns Online; The Convenient Way” was chosen.

I believe GRA’s portal is a secured tax management tool that enables taxpayers to file their returns, initiate payments, apply for refunds and undertake cashless transaction and other transactions with ease and convenience.

I, therefore called on GRA to consider expanding the platform and the law to capture the assets of all Ghanaians who file their incomes and tax returns to ensure minimization of tax invasion.

I appealed to business owners in the Western Region to register with the GRA to help increase the filing rate and tax revenue. I reiterated that the initiative was rightly tailored to the realization and in fulfilment of the President’s vision of Ghana Beyond Aid.
