Government Should Confiscates Galamsey Lands For The State.

As Ghana Revenue Authority launched its Tax and Good Governance Month, I addressed the issue of “galamsey lands”, which chiefs and land owners who allocate these lands for such activity knows the lands become unusable.

Government has borrowed $100M to restore lands using tax payers funds to repay those loans.

Therefore, as part of Good Governance Month, I believe the lands should be seized for the state. Government, as part of its priorities want to safeguard the environment as well as protects its natural resources for now and posterity.
