Yesterday, I attended a workshop on Gender Basics and Gender-Responsive Lawmaking, organized by the African Center for Parliamentary Affairs in partnership with the Parliamentary Center for Gender Responsive Policies (ILGRP).
This program aimed to empower young parliamentarians with a deeper understanding of gender issues and the integration of gender perspectives into policymaking. The discussions highlighted the importance of inclusivity, equitable representation, and laws that address the unique challenges faced by different genders.
As a parliamentarian, I am committed to applying the insights gained from this orientation to promote gender-responsive governance and foster a more inclusive society for all.
