Fake Journalist arrested by Sefwi Asawinso police command

A man by the name of Pious Koranteng has been arrested by the Police at Sefwi Asawinso for defrauding people in the area claiming to be a news reporter from Adom FM. Pious met a woman in the town called Rita and proposed love to her which she agreed.
He told the woman that he was paid GH₵1,800 but the money got missing on his way so she asked the woman for GH₵1,000. Rita went for GH₵900 from her savings and gave it to Pious.
Pius assured her to return the money when he gets paid from Adom FM. Rita waited for a long time but Pious never paid her. She did her investigations and found out the man was married and was not a worker from Adom FM. Rita called Adom FM officials and also reported to the Police station.
The multimedia group together the Police have arrested Pious Koranteng to face charges at Sefwi Wiawso Magistrate Court. Other residents from Sefwi Asawinso also complained that Pius uses the name of other radio stations to defraud people.
He even told a Pastor that he worked with Peace FM and went to take coverage of a crusade after which he was paid but the coverage was not published. Pious is now in the gripes of the Police facing charges of defrauding.
