Dormaahene urges Land Surveyors to develop scheme to prevent property demolishing

The Omanhene of Dormaa Traditional Area Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu ll, has urged Land surveyors to develop a scheme which would barred people from developing a land which probably they may not be owners.

He said it’s not worth of grassing and demolish people’s properties down after huge investment due to lack of proper documentations.

Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu said this at a conference of Land Surveyors Division of Ghana Institution of surveyors under the theme Coordinated implementation and management of local plans for the socio-economics development of Ghana held in sunyani, Bono Region.

Nana Dormaahene who doubles as the President of Bono Region House of Chiefs said the 2020 land act called for the need for surveyors to exact their duty in an area before registration starts.

He charged the land surveyors to understand their role as a first institution to survey boundaries and interprete it on the ground for people to understand.

He warns that lack of proper institutional collaboration between land agencies and surveyors would thwart their operations to the background.
