“District Cultural Department Is Unproductive Due To financial constraints” ~ Culture Officer Laments

Mr. Michael Kwamena Ansah who is the Wassa East district cultural officer of the western region has revealed that, the department of culture in the Wassa East district is currently under financial difficulties because of that the department is unable to undertake its mandates efficiently.

He appealed to the government to resource the cultural departments in the country so that they can attractively package and sell our culture to the world and also inculcate it into the current and the next generations.

In an interview with Listowel Aboagye Dacosta of sweet FM, Mr. Michael Kwamena Ansah urged Ghanaians to use the local languages very often particularly when we are at home so that the children will not depart from their mother tongue as they grow.
