Central Ghana Conference of SDA Church provides public outreach for over 500 young women on cyber, social media impacts.
Central Ghana Conference of SDA Church Women Ministry in Ashanti region has marked a young women’s day celebration with a public lectures that sought to empower young women with the tools to unlock their potential, build a fairer working future and learn from one another so as to make meaningful change.
Speaking on the theme “A Young Woman of Valour: I Will Go” at the Valley View University in Kumasi Oduom campus, the women and children ministries director, Mrs Olivia Adu Owusu Achiaw sensitized the participants the positive and negative impact of the use of Internet and social media.
The 500 young women learners made up of basic school students, Senior High school students, Tertiary students and Apprentices were schooled on disciplinary, personal hygiene, internet and social media engagements.
Mrs Olivia Adu Owusu Achiaw lectured them to shun all bad internet and social media friendships to live by virtue in the society.
The immediate past director of the women and children ministries Mrs Elizabeth Osei together with some of the young women spoke with Rexkin Ohene Boateng and shared their experiences.
They said, the education will go a long way to keep themselves from bad companies and nurture them to live a chaste life.
