Parents and students at Twifo Osam Islamic Basic School are calling for urgent infrastructural aid for their dead trapped 36 year old mud school block

Twifo Osam Islamic Basic School in the Twifo Ati-Morkwa district of the central region is in pitiable state as the people in the community call for immediate attention.

Speaking with the chief of Twifo Osam, Nana Seidu Kwaku Atta Il, he disclosed that, the mud structured (Attakwame) school which runs with 9 classrooms and office from KG to JHS 3 was erected in 1985 by the residents through communal labour.

The School Buildings have since been suffering the devastations of storms on countless occasions but the community always ensure its renovations.

Nana Seidu lamented that currently, the community members are financially handicapped to be able to continue renovate the 36 year old mud school building and calling on the government, NGOs, the Muslim community and philanthropists to urgently come to their aid to avoid a promising tragic.

The first headteacher of Osam Islamic Basic School, Mr. Yakubu Seidu who is currently on retirement also explained to Listowel Aboagye Dacosta of Sweet FM, the impediments the school has gone through since its inception in 1985.

Some of the potential victims (students) of the school also shared their emotional sentiments about the 36 year old jeopardized mud school building in which they learn with the hope of becoming future leaders of Ghana.
