Kwabre east district chief executive, Hon Nana Osei Assibey Bonsu has promised to introduce more administrative reforms to elevate the district to acceptable standard and also motivates staffs to put their best for increased productivity.
He said this at the first general meeting of the assembly held in the assembly hall at mamponteng.
He disclosed that the district is rich in cultural heritage with good number of tourist sites like Kente, Adinkra, wood carving and atoa shrine and therefore called on all stakeholders in the district to establish Kente/Adinkra festival festival annually to improve tourism and unity in the district.
Hon. Nana Osei Assibey Bonsu in a sessional address stated his office inherited an amount of GHc 999,766 as liability from his predecessor Hon Alhaji Adams Iddisah in John Mahama Ndc led administration.
The formal Npp constituency chairman said there has been an outbreak of army worms in the district which is fast destroying food crops particularly maize around Kasaam and its environs.
Hon Osei Assibey assured stakeholders that the district assembly together with the agriculture directorate are mobilizing funds and personnels to spray the affected farms as a matter of extreme urgency.
