Western North: Environmental Officer Advises Public to Stop Open Defecation To Enhance good Health.

Western North Regional Environmental Officer, Mr.Paul Nuchugah has advised the general public to desist from open defecation to help maintain good hygienic environment, because to live healthier is the core mandate of the environmental officers.

Mr.Paul Nuchugah in an interview with peace fm correspondent Nattybongo, disclosed that, a lot of diseases are contracted from open defecation which passes through our water bodies and insects.

He pleaded with the citizenry to desist from open defecation to avoid diseases that human contracts from feaces.

Mr.Paul Nuchugah revealed that, when insects moves from the open defecation, flies onto your food, it will become contaminated and give the person cholera and other related diseases.

He urged the general public to have a toilet facility in their houses or place of living, to ease open defecation, because the rainy season will start soon.
