NAELP Coordinator reached out, Donates items to Old Tafo Municipal Ambulance Service.
The Coordinator for National Alternative Employment and Livelihood Programme (NAELP), Dr. Carol Serwaa Donkor has donated high density student mattresses to the Old Tafo-Pankrono Municipal Ambulance Service in the Ashanti region to enable them continue serving the people during emergencies.
The donation was presented on behalf of Dr Serwaa Donkor by her own special aide, Mr Moses Donkor Junior.
The donation came after the Ambulance service command made an appeal to Dr. Carol Louisa Serwaa Donkor when she visited the station premises for a conference in April, 2022.
In a speech read on her behalf saids President Nana-Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has taken it upon himself to give a facelift to the Ghana National Ambulance Service since he resumed office as the president of the nation.
She further explained that the donation was in line with the promise she made to support the Ambulance Service in her constituency.
“My doors are open for everyone and wish the betterment of the municipality and my outfit will continue work closely with the necessary departments and services to develop the municipality” the former NPP parliamentary aspirant assured the Ambulance service personnels.
She pleaded with the Ambulance Service Commander to use the items effectively .
The Municipal Ambulance Commander/Director of the Ghana National Ambulance Service, Advanced EMT Acheampong Isaac, thanked the NAELP Coordinator for the support and said the donation would go a long way to help their work.
According to him, ever since they received the new ambulance from the government, one of their main challenges has been response to emergency issues, especially during the night times such as inadequate Bedding and accommodation, fuel issues etc.
“What to sleep on during night duties is our problem. I must say that the donation was timely”, He added.
The Station Manager therefore used the period and appealed to cooperate institutions and individuals to kindly emulate and support the operations of the Old Tafo Ambulance station and continue to repose their confidence in the service in times of Emergencies.
