Techiman-Tanoso becoming death zone as another person killed in car knock: Residents appeals
to authorities for speed ramps
Parents of a 16-year old girl who was crashed to death by a speeding saloon car at Tanoso in the Techiman municipality the Bono East regional capital are passionately appealing to authorities of the Ghana Highway, Ministry of Roads and Transport to as a matter of urgency construct speed ramps on some portion of the road in order to end or reduce the rampant knock down of residents by reckless drivers.
The call was made during a Muslim funeral session (ADUAH) to bid the 16-year old Asana Musah farewell after she was crashed dead on the spot at about 7pm on Friday.
Speaking to Peace News correspondent Nana Kwadwo Adu of Asta Fm, Father of the deceased, Musah Ali narrated their last moments and how Asana who was taking part of the ongoing Muslims Ramadan fasting met her untimely death.
Although the family is devastated and tempers flared up among some youth in the town, Family Head, Imam Haruna Yeboah ruled out any quest for justice in matters of death as Muslims believe every occurrence is by permission of Allah.
Meanwhile, Assemblyman for Tanoso Ahenfie electoral area Hon. Zachariah Muhammed popularly known as Don’t Go There recounted what transpired on the fateful night leading to the military intervention and sporadic shootings.
