Ramadan, Old Tafo-Pankrono: Dr Carol Serwaa Donkor Donates To Muslim Polling Station Executives.

Dr Carol Serwaa Donkor resources NPP polling station executives who are Muslims in Old Tafo-Pankrono.

The Coordinator for National Alternative Employment & Livelihood Programme NAELP, Dr Carol Serwaa Donkor (Mrs), has donated food items to Muslims Delegates in the in Old Tafo-Pankrono constituency through the New Patriotic Party NPP, Executives to support their ongoing fasting to mark the holy Ramadan.

The items, which include 18 cartons of sugar, 24 cartons of milk, 15 cartons of Milo, and 5 cartons of Lipton, were given to Muslim delegates from the various polling stations in the constituency in a short ceremony at the forecourt of the NPP office at Tafo in the Ashanti region on Saturday.

Presenting the items, Dr. Mrs. Carol Serwaa Donkor said the gesture was in support of the Muslim community as they have embarked on the month of fasting and prayers, the rationale to help the Muslims have a successful Ramadan as
they seek the intervention, mercy and goodness of Allah.

She said the donation was one of many other ways in which She will use to support her good people in the constituency and also pledged to continue provide assistance to the Muslims community.

The NAELP Boss asked the Muslims to pray for the Old Tafo-Pankrono constituency, the country and leaders at all levels and especially the New Patriotic Party so they can give off their best for the people.

The NPP Acting Chairperson for the Constituency, Hon. Nana Afia Konadu Yiadom who received the donation on behalf of the Constituency Executives, Electoral area Coordinators and Polling station chairspersons expressed her gratitude for the donation.

The items were however distributed to all the NPP Muslims polling station executives in the constituency, Alhaji Iddrisu Mohammed the constituency secretary received on behalf of the beneficiaries.

According to Nana Konadu who is seeking for re-election as the first vice chairperson said the gesture reminds them of their former Member of Parliament and former Minister for Monitoring and Evaluation, Hon. Dr. Anthony Akoto Osei who had annually been providing such benevolence to the Muslims communities in the constituency.

She said the Constituency Executives and the entire fraternity have really missed him.

Mr. Abdul Basit Mohammed a Nasara Coordinator hopeful and a beneficiary thanked Dr. Serwaa Donkor for the gesture and was hopeful that the items would go a long way to help the Muslims in the fasting.

Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar and is observed with fasting and prayer by all Muslim faithful around the world to commemorate Prophet Mohammed first receiving the Holy Quran.
