Sir John took care of me financially, I cannot speak ill of him — NDC Serial caller.
National Democratic Congress Serial Caller Appiah Stadium has publicly admitted to receiving a lot of financial support from the late Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie alias Sir John for which reason he cannot criticize his will.
The NDC serial caller’s comment comes days after a leading figure of Sir John’s own party, Nana Obiri Boahen, a Deputy General Secretary said his acquired properties were too much.
Obiri Boahen who is also Sir John’s fellow lawyer said Sir John as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Forestry Commission amassed too many properties within the short period of his appointment and has raised eyebrows and concerns from the general public.
As first reported by MyNewsGh.com, Obiri Boahen said “If within a period of about three years he was able to amass this wealth, what about those who still hold positions? Properties within a matter of three years are too much. So it should be a source of concern.
Appiah Stadium on his part said even if everyone condemns Sir John, it will be wrong for him to open his mouth to speak against Sir John looking at how the late NPP big man was sorting him out every now and then.
“Even if Sir John was a thief, as for me he gave me some. He took care of me well. Although he didn’t give me land, anytime we meet, my how are you money de3 I will take. He was generous” Appiah Stadium said.
“If someone take you along to go and look at life, you don’t take the person to go and see death” Appiah Stadium added.
Some portions of the last Will of Sir John have caused controversy and public debate.
The will contains a mind-blowing list of properties including some parcels of land at the Achimota Forest, bank accounts, investments, businesses, guns, and clothes.
Portions of the Achimota Forest lands in his will have been allocated to his family relatives.
