A Police Officer has been installed as the new Paramount Chief of the Seikwa Traditional Council in Tain.R
A display of culture and tradition have being at its peak at the Seikwa durbar grounds in the Tain District when the new Paramount Chief, Nana Osabarima Debra Adjei II was outdoored on Sunday, 15th May, 2022.
The event attracted high-profile personalities, including political figures, government officials, the clergy, traditional leaders and foreign tourists.
The ascension of Osabarima Debra Adjei II ended a chieftaincy dispute in the Seikwa Traditional Council that has lasted for 7 years after the late Nana Zuma Ankoana II on whom to be successor.
The Seikwa people were thrown into ecstasy as the town was more suitably cladded in white and the eminent was in a rich robe encrusted with jewels for the enstoolment and thanks giving.
In his speech at the durbar, Nana Osabarima Debra II entreated his people to embrace peace for development to thrive in the Seikwa area.
Speaking with Appiah Kubi in an interview, Osabarima Debra II stated to efficiently poise the natural and human resources to enhance the livelihood of his people in disparity.
He expressed readiness to dialogue with all groups for the maintenance of peace for socio-economic development in Seikwa.
Osabarima Debra II was a police officer at Akosombo, in the Volta Region.
