NSS Boss Osei Assibey Antwi Pays a Courtesy Call On City FM/TV

The new Executive Director of the National Service Secretariat, Osei Assibey Antwi has paid a courtesy call on the management of Citi FM and Citi TV.

During the visit, on October 18, 2021, the NSS boss highlighted the work his outfit has been up to since he took over as the Executive Director a few weeks ago.

He said the visit forms part of the Secretariat’s move to collaborate with user agencies to find a lasting solution to the country’s scary unemployment issues.

“We want to work with user agencies, and encourage them to get involved in community engagement whenever they have the opportunity.”

“My office has to collaborate with all other agencies to make sure that the youth unemployment situation in the country is checked.”

The Managing Director of Citi FM and Citi TV, Bernard Avle, who welcomed the NSS boss and his team to the station, said, “We have a very good relationship with the National Service Secretariat. I think it’s because we discuss a lot of development issues, and invariably, national service comes under such issues. Thank you for coming.”

Osei Assibey Antwi was appointed as the Executive Director of the National Service Scheme on September 18, 2021.

Prior to that, he served as the former Mayor of Kumasi from 2017.

The National Service Secretariat (NSS) about two weeks ago posted over 81,081 graduates nationwide to undertake their one-year mandatory national service.
