This morning, representing the Ashanti regional youth wing, we visited the campus of Islamic senior high school to empathise with the students, parents and teachers of the school over the incident that happened yesterday due to the police reaction to the peaceful protest by the students.

I appealled to the leadership of Ghana education service and stakeholders to help resolve the issues that led to the demonstrations.

I also applauded the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, for his visit to the school and assurance to the students and Management of the Islamic Senior High School in Kumasi that he will look into the conduct of Police officers deployed for crowd control during their protest. This will help prevent the reoccurrence of it.
