Cattle takes over T.I Ahmadiya Islamic Primary School at Jaman South
Cows numbering 20 took over the classrooms of T.I Ahmadiya Islamic Primary School this morning at Japekrom in the Jaman South Municipality when teaching and learning were in progress.
Learning materials have been destroyed including tables and chairs of pupils were dismantled by the animals.
Speaking to Kwaku Fitaa this morning, teachers of the school said this is not the first time this is happening to the school.
Meanwhile, the circuit supervisor of the Japekrom circuit, Mr. Sulemana indicated that this problem has been forwarded to the authorities but nothing has been done about it and said it is seriously affecting teaching and learning and however pleaded with authorities to build a new classroom block for them.
He however appealed to the Member of Parliarment for the area who has earlier in the campaign promised to give facelift for the school to as a matter of urgency do so to help the pupils.
Mr. Sulemana also appealed to the newly confirmed mce, Hon Andrews Bediako to make Japekrom T.I Ahmadiya Islamic Primary School a priority on his lists of development.
The pupils of the school however expressed worry about the nature of the school and added their voices to the calls by the teachers and the circuit supervisor for authorities to come to their aid.
