“Neighbors watch us through windows during labour due to lack of fence wall” ~ Sepe-Buokrom-Aprapram Health Officials laments over inconvenience
Kumasi Buokrom executive men’s club as part of their social responsibilities has donated assorted materials to Sepe-Aprapram health center.
As an organized non profit group which aimed to provide support and mitigate challenges in institutions also projects to rendering service to society.
Handing over the relief items the chairman for the club, Ben Asuako said per the call and request from the Sepe-Aprapram health workers they were able to procure washing machine, air-condition, chairs, fans and light bulbs to ease some of their challenges.
Ben Asuako stated that, government alone cannot shoulder the operational cost of health facilities dotted across the country, it is therefore their responsibility as citizens to contribute their quota in that direction.
The donors urged them to put the items to good use.
Heath Officials at Sepe-Aprapram Health Center in the Sepe-Buokrom sub-metropolitan assembly in the Ashanti region had over the years expressed concern about the poor nature and lack of equipment such as incubators, security fence wall, emergency unit, and laboratory equipment at the health facility.
Expressing their gratitude to the club for the kind gesture, the Physician Assistant in-charge, Mariatu Nuhu appealed to the government and the general public to address those needs to help smooth delivery of services at the facility.
According to her, lack of of fence wall around the facility also exposed their activities to the neighbors especially during labour. “Neighbors watch us through windows during labour due to lack of fence wall” madam Mariatu Nuhu lamented.
She however stated that the items have come at the right time and it will go a long way to eradicate some of their burdens especially with the washing machine as the facility transports to Manhyia hospital for laundry.
