C/R: NDC Communication Officer Gets Bail Of Gh¢300 With Two Sureties

The Central Regional Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Dawood has been granted bail by a Cape Coast Curcuit Court after pleading not guilty to charges leveled against him.

He was admitted to a bail of GHS 30,000 and two sureties and is expected to appear before the Regional DOVVSU until the trial is over.

Mr Dawood who is in police grips was said to have had sexual encounters with his biological daughter since 2019 and subsequently impregnating.

The prosecuting officer, ASP Daniel Gadzor said the accused is standing trial for abetment to commit abortion with his accomplice, a NADMO officer at Agona Swedru, Mr Atta Mensah who injected the survivor with an abortion inducing substance.

He said the accused in the company of his lawyers went to the Cape Coast DOVVSU Regional Office Tuesday but was however detained and arraigned before court today

The case has been adjourned to 27th October 2021.
