Bono East childhood cancers treatment: NHIA grateful to Headquarters

Bono East NHIA grateful to Headquarters for selecting Holy Family Hospital in Techiman as part of only 7 facilities in Ghana to start childhood cancers treatment

The Bono East Regional National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Office has announced that 63.9% of the total population of people in the area are holding active membership cards to access healthcare.

According to the NHIA Management, as at June 2022 Bono East Region had achieved 91.9% out of the total 853,924 estimated annual membership registration target with three districts i.e. Sene, Kintampo North and South recording more than 100%.

Speaking in an interview with Peace News Correspondent Nana Kwadwo Adu of Asta Fm in Techiman during the 2nd quarter Media Engagement of NHIA, Mr. George Oppong Dankwah the Bono East Regional Director revealed that Techiman placed 2nd nations in Mobile renewals.

He concluded by thanking Headquarters for selecting the Techiman Holy Family Hospital to serve the Bono and Ahafo Regions amongst the only seven hospitals nationwide to commence treatment of childhood cancers under National Health Insurance scheme.
