BONO EAST: Ahyiayem Youth demonstrate against Queen mother over sold of farming lands

Nkoranza Ahyiayem shares boundaries with Ejura and Nkoranza, Farmers of Ahyiayem has demonstrated calling on authorities to come to thier aid as their farming land has been given to someone without their consent.

They said excavators has graded all their farm crops without given them any compensation or notice.

According to the aggrieved youth, they are reliably informed that Nkoranza Queen Mother sold the land to Kumasi Amakom Hene without engaging them in the agreement but she claims she gifted over 200 hectares of lands to the Amakom Hene of which over 6000 farmer’s feed on it.

“Upon several visits to Nana Nkoranza Hemaa’s Palace for consultation we were chased out from the Palace and yielded no result at the moment” they said.

The Ahyiayem ‘Dikro’ Nana Adjei Poku who also joined the demonstration said the traditional Council did not inform him before given the land to Kumasi Amakom Hene which the Queen Mother of Nkoranza Claims.
