Banda DCE Pleads CLOGSAG to cease Strike.

The District Chief Executive for Banda, in the Bono Region, Hon. Emmanuel Akoneh, has notified his humble plea to the members of the Civil and Local Government Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG), to call off their ongoing strike for the betterment of the various Metropolitans, Municipal and District assemblies.

He called on the executives of CLOGSAG to consider the magnitudes of the commuter’s dependent for development.

The District Chief Executive unfolded his view that the association has the statutory rights to exercise on such activity but he will plead they should at least put in their thoughts on the future of the commuters as a whole.

“I am humbly pleading to the nationwide Members of the CLOGSAG to reconsider and sympathize on their decision and call off the ongoing strike and I think it will be frugal for the government to make things in contentious way” he stated this in an interview on Tain FM Anopa Nkommo show with Appiah Kubi.

He again reiterated that due to the actions by the CLOGSAG, he only meets vacant blocks when he attends to office, which he says it is so sad to observe that.

Hon. Akoneh emphasized that the strikes of the CLOGSAG have affected the various assemblies in terms of administrative activities and even revenue collections.

He cried out that the assemblies that have little internal generated funds are suffering and therefore urging the government to intervene and aspire to the mediation desk to ensure the association’s demands has been met.
