Rainstorm Rips Off Asherisu School Roof

Heavy rainstorm at Asherisu near Bibiani but in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region wreaked havoc on staff common room, Office, School block and headmaster’s banglow of the Asherisu Anglican Basic school.

Several teaching and learning materials have been distroyed in the process.

The Head teacher of the school, Mr.Issac Elisha Sarpong told Awuku Addo that the situation has forced him to relocate to another community and has to be boarding vehicle in and out everyday, a situation he described as unfortunate and won’t help effective teaching and learning.

According to him they have to keep the little left teaching and learning materials in someone’s house.

He therefore called on government, philanthropists and well meaning Ghanaians to come to their aid.

Some of the school children also shared their plight as a result of the rain storm with Awuku Addo and called on
philanthropists, Hon Isaac Asiamah and the Atwima Mponua District assembly to come to their aid.
