AKD: ADUMAN SHS TEACHERS BEAR TEETH ON HEADMASTER

Teachers at Aduman SHS in the Afigya- Kwabre South District of Ashanti has embarked on sit-down strike to register their afflicts of the poor human relation and bad conduct of their headmaster.

The teachers complained that Mr Francis Yao Agorsor has consistently refused to sign, endorse the forms of teachers who are due for promotion. Adding that He continues antagonize them even in classroom in front of students and there has been no staff meeting since the beginning of the term.

Speaking to newsmen the aggrieved teachers charged the major stakeholders of the school including the ministry of education and education directorates that they will continue to the strike and will never invigilate the upcoming WASSCE and the internal 2nd term examination until their demand is made. They have also been sidelined, cautioned not to speak by authorities, the upset teachers fumed.

The Aduman Senior High School Teachers in January 2018, early in second term academic year embarked on a sit-down strike action to register their displeasure of the poor human relation, threatening and all kinds of the headmaster. Along the line a committee was set up to investigate the matter but according to the Teachers the committee has failed to produce their report after series of formal request which turned futile.

Heroesghnews.com further approached the authorities of the school unfortunately couldn’t meet the headmaster but the assistant headmaster domestic, Mr. Ossei Agyakumhene said that it has not come to their notice that Aduman Senior High School Teachers are on strike down.

“They are not on strike, they were seriously teaching yesterday, and am highly optimistic that they will come to class to teach on Monday and onwards” Mr. Ossei Agyakumhene presumed.
