Bosomefreho: Abomaso ICCES Gets Workshop, Others, Coordinator Reveals TVET Is The Master Key To National Development.

Mr Daniel Amoah The Ashanti Regional Coordinator of lntergrated Community Centers for Employable Skills (ICCES) has reveal that Education is the key for development and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) education is the master key to development and it reduce unemployment.

According to him, TVET create Jobs for the youth, so Ghanaians and for that matter the teeming youth should embrace and enroll into TVET to help reduce unemployment menace.

He made this revelation at Abosamso in the Bosome Freho District of the Ashanti Region when they joined ONECHILD GHANA to cut a ribbon for the commissioning of a 2 unit workshop block with office and furniture.

They also donated 22 beds and 100 modern re-usable sanitary pads for the girls at the school sponsored by Armah Consultancy and a support from Rugirls EMS.

Mr Amoah urged that through the computerized school section placement system for free TVET education 44,000 students admitted to the free TVET education for 2022 academic year.

He disclosed that Abosamso Technical institute was not formed part of free TVET, due to that Abosamso school could not meet the selection criteria set by the commission for TVET, because Abosamso–Asamama lacks infrastructure, classroom block without workshops, toilet, water and other amenities.

Mr Daniel Amo promise that (ICCES) and ONECHILD GHANA will continue to initiate projects for Abosamso–Asamama Technical institute to be absorbed into Free TVET placement in 2023 academic year.

The Country Rep. (ONECHILD GHANA) Nana Anthony Boateng reveal that ONECHILD GHANA is a UK based Voluntary Organization that support students across 14 Vocational School (ICCES centers) in the Ashanti Region.

The Organization is run entirely by volunteers No salaries or office cost are paid to members, every money/donation raised goes directly towards the project to support.

Nana Anthony Boateng said everyone who donate to ONECHILD GHANA, can choose how to spend their donation and see the real difference they are making, since 2002 ONECHILD has developed very close relationship with our schools, working in partnership is by far the best way to create genuine and sustainable impact.

The students also expressed their profound gratitude to ICCES and ONECHILD GHANA for this beautiful workshop block.
