SUNYANI-BONO REGION: UENR MAKES HISTORY; OPENS CENTRE FOR SKILLS DEVELOPMENT.
The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), has made history by opening a Centre for Student’s Employability Skills Development at its main Campus, Sunyani in the Bono Region to equip students with employable skills for the job market.
The Centre, the first of its kind in the history of Ghana, would train students on Interview Grooming, Critical Thinking, Digital Skills, Emotional Intelligence, Career Mentorship, Curriculum Vitae Writing among others.
Speaking to Oteng Apau the maiden 3-day Students Employability Camp programme organized for the fresh graduates at the Institution’s Auditorium in Sunyani, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Elvis Asare-Bediako said, the programme is instituted to respond to the ever-frightening question of ‘What is next after school’.
The management of the University of Energy and Natural Resources looks forward to all her graduates find or create a job to take care of themselves, their families and to extend their hands to those in need hence this programme to sharpen their skills and make them skilful and employably ready for the job markets.
This, he said, would distinguish the graduates of UENR from other institutions in the job markets.
