KSI: RAMSEYER VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL INSTITUTE HOLDS 40TH ANNIVERSARY AND 14TH GRADUATION CEREMONY

The Ramseyer vocational and Technical Institute under the auspices of Presbyterian Church of Ghana has marked the institution’ 40th anniversary and 14th graduation in the School premises at Kyerepatre in Kumasi metropolis on Saturday.

Speaking on the theme “40 years of excellence in Technical and Vocational Education in Nation Building- The PCG factor” the Board Chairman of the institution, Rev. Dr. Kofi Amfo-Akonnor charged the government to be particular with vocational and technical education as it will go a long way to reduce hunger and poverty.

He stated that vocational and technical profession is one of the best way to develop a country and improve lifes of the people
In a welcome address the Principal of the institution Rev. S. A. Ayeh-Hanson told stakeholders that, in spite of their land litigation and lack of citizenry social recognition of vocational education as their major challenges, the centre 40 years has empowered and trained many students and youth in demand driven employable skills for self employment through micro and small-scale enterprises to promote the socio economy.

He added that the total of 56 students were graduated with Hospitality& Catering Management, Building Construction Technology, Fashion Design and Electrical Engineering.
