Ghana marks a special and memorable day in the lives of their hardworking, tireless, and productive farmers as they celebrate 38th national farmers day.
Farmers are indeed worth celebrating for their indelible contributions towards the development of this great country.
The food we eat every day is because of these growers. They work with their blood, sweat, and tears to grow crops every year.
In a congratulatory message on this 38th farmers day celebration, the National Alternative Employment and Livelihood Programme NAELP Coordinator, Dr Carol Serwaa Donkor saluted Ghanaian noble and gallant farmers for their hard labor and love for Ghana, saying “we can not thank them enough for the efforts in sustaining Ghanaians from hunger”
She congratulated all the award winners in the Old Tafo-Pankrono Municipal Assembly and the various MMDAs in Ashanti and regional winners. Better luck next time to those who couldn’t win.
The Veteran Politician’s daughter urged all farmers to rally behind the listening government, H.E. the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, H.E. the Veep, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, and hardworking, creative, and innovative Ministers, Honourable Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Minister of Trade and Industry, and Honourable Owusu Afriyie Akoto, Minister of Food and Agriculture, so that all impediments in the agricultural sector are removed.
As the entire nation enjoys this memorable day, Dr. Mrs. Serwaa further appealed to all farmers in Ashanti region and Ghana at large not to relent on their efforts but to work harder to make our nation great and strong.
“We are what we are because of what we eat from you, our hardworking farmers, We bless, appreciate, and salute you all. May the Good Lord reward you in his own time for your contribution to national development” Sompahemaa prays for the gallant farmers.
According to her as a country, we should and must pray for support for the NPP government to continue to be in power for the continuity and total transformation of our country, God bless our beloved Ghana.

The 38th edition of the National Farmers’ Day was launched today, Friday, 16th of September, 2022 at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture Conference room. This year’s celebration will be held in the Eastern Region of Ghana and would as usual be marked with a National Agricultural Fair from Tuesday, 29th November 2022 to Friday 2nd December, 2022.
The last day of the National Agricultural Fair which marks the first Friday of December would be celebrated with a Grand Durbar and Awards Ceremony where Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana will confer national honours on best performing farmers.
