Works and Housing Ministry Rolls Out 12,000 ‘Me Fie’ Programme

The Ministry of Works and Housing is rolling out a national revised affordable housing programme to provide an initial 12,000 housing units Dubbed: ‘Me fie’, to wit ‘My House’.

The programme is expected to take off in November this year. It is targeted at both public sector workers and individuals in the private and informal sectors.

The minister, Hon. Asenso Boakye, said the government would absorb the cost of acquiring land and provide infrastructure and tax incentives.

The initial 12,000 housing units according to the ministry begins at Pokuase, near Accra, and Dedesua in the Ashanti Region set to take off in November.
