World Teachers Day: Teachers Urged To Accept Posting To Rural Areas Despite Challenges ~ GES Dir..

Ghana joins the globe to mark the 28th edition of World Teachers Day anniversary of which advise has been given to teachers to accept posting to rural areas despite challenges facing them.

The teachers were told to eschew perception that “rural posting is a form of punishment” Mrs Ama Adwubi Asafo Agyei, the Atwima Mponua District Education Director admonished Ghanaian teachers at Toase senior high school during a seminar and sports activities organized by Atwima GNAT executives as part of the celebration.

The Atwima Nwabiagya North District Education Director, Mr Frank Duah Boateng encouraged the good work by teachers and advised them to focus on the job by applying all the professionalism.

Meanwhile the Atwima GNAT Chairman Mr Amos Osei commended the gallant teachers for their meritorious services for the country

He appealed to the government to address teachers grievances to enhance efficient and effective teaching and learning activities.
