Sunyani: Methodist Bishop Calls on MCE, describes Him as “Humble and conscientious”

The Methodist Bishop of the Sunyani Diocese, Rt Reverend Kwasi Tano has called on the Municipal Chief Executive of the Sunyani Municipality, Hon Ansu Kumi never to digress from the humility and ability to execute his duties thoroughly he is known for.

The Bishop made this passionate call in his office when the MCE paid a courtesy call on him in his office.

He held that, the Party has a vision and that is why he has been appointed to steer the affairs of government to achieve its goals.

He further stated, “there are people who would backbite, others would lie against you and even lie against others to you for favour, but be careful with all those and seek the guidance of the Lord and your seniors and never downplay the power of prayers in the discharge of your activities”.

“Fortify your relationship with the Member of Parliament (MP), Regional Minister ,the Party heirachy and the grassroot because I know as for you, that wouldn’t be a problem and I also know the Mp is your father so there is no fear of disunity”, he declared.

“People would try to cause confusion, be vigilant because if they see your friendship with the MP as we all know, they would be jealous but be yourself and work hard with the MP”, he said

“Listen more, consult more, the work is not in the office, it is on the ground so be on the ground and act with fairness and firmness”,

“Don’t overly depend on the written reports. They say, people do what you inspect and not what you expect so be on them and get the the Job done because we have absolute confidence in you”, he concluded.

In responding to the Bishop and his Church leaders, the obsequious MCE held, “I am truly honoured for the downpour of praises you have heaped on me”

“And I am equally grateful and mindful of the tonnes of advice you have bestowed upon me, I would surely adhere strictly to what you have inspired me with this afternoon and We would deliver together with the people to the glory of God and country”, he indicated
