Okyerekrom D/A Basic School Turns Death Trap, Snakes taken over [WATCH VIDEO]

OKYEREKROM D/A primary and Junior High School in the Atwima Mponua district of the Ashanti region is gradually sinking into the ground, taking away the pride of education from children in the community.

The school lacks almost everything including School buildings, desks, textbooks, teachers and other teaching and learning materials.

In an interview with Asona Dehyie Kwarteng, Chief of Okyerekrom, Nana Kofi Owusu said, the death trap school has become a habitat for goats, weeds, lizards, snakes and other dangerous reptiles.

According to the Assemblyman Hon Ibrahim Godfred, the situation is very disheartening and pathetic. Several letters has been written to the MP and DCE but proved futile calling on government and NGOs to their Aid.

Meanwhile, residents lament bitterly over poor roads, Abandoned Chip Centre and collapsed Bridge making life unbearable.
