NPP MP Primaries: Dr Serwaa Donkor Picks Forms In Old Tafo Constituency

The New Patriotic Party on Wednesday officially opened nomination for the election of parliamentary candidates in some constituencies ahead of the 2024 general election.

In what turned out to be a surprise gesture, the aspirant who won the 3rd position during the 2019 primaries of the NPP in Old Tafo constituency, Prince Odeneho Oppong together with leadership of market women, electoral area coordinators and assemblymen, polling station executives who form the electoral college (delegates) and supporters of the party stormed the party’s constituency office at Tafo on Thursday where they picked up the nomination forms for Dr Serwaa Donkor.

Receiving the forms from the constituency chairmen Stephen Okyere Gyimah aka Rambo, Mr Prince Odeneho Oppong reposed confidence in Dr Serwaa Donkor by picking her nomination forms.

He declared to the gathering with great enthusiasm that he’s solidly behind the NAELP Coordinator adding that She represents and will restore the future, hope and development of the Tafo-Pankrono Constituency.

Supporters speaking to newsmen said, the NAELP Coordinator throughout her time has proven herself as a generous, hardworking and humble servant who seeks the progress of the constituency and makes herself available to his constituents.

They expressed delight and confidence in chairman Donkor the veteran politician’s daughter who always visit the area and engage the people of Tafo-Pankrono by providing direct and indirect jobs for both certificates and non certificates holders.

They also recalled the yearly free classes been organised for final year JHS and SHS students with free examinational kits, free breast cancer screening for mothers and young ladies, scholarships for students to study both in Ghana and abroad and many unnamed monthly financial and material supports among aged and party members.

Dr. Louis Carol Serwaa Donkor also expressed gratitude to members of the NPP in the constituency for their support while assuring them of her unwavering pursuit of development for the area.

First appointed to serve at the office of the President at Flagstaff house and Coordinator for National Alternative Employment and Livelihood Program NAELP, at ministry of lands and natural resources in 2016 and 2021 respectively, Dr Serwaa as affectionately called Sompahema performed incredibly and also used the opportunity to help her constituents.
